Pendulum Divination Guide — How to Use a Pendulum for Answers

A pendulum works by amplifying subtle physical signals from your nervous system — micro-movements that reflect your subconscious knowing. Whether you understand it as accessing higher guidance or as ideomotor response, the results can be consistently useful when the method is applied correctly.
Getting Started

Choose your pendulum — Crystal, metal or wood. Weight matters more than material: 15-30g swings clearly. A simple necklace works fine to start.

Cleanse it — Hold under running water, pass through smoke, or leave in moonlight overnight. Clear its previous charge before working with it.

Establish your yes/no — Hold still and ask: "Show me yes." Note the movement (clockwise, back-forth, etc.). Then: "Show me no." The movements are consistent for each person.

Ground yourself first — Three deep breaths. Set intention: "I ask only for guidance that serves my highest good." Don't use a pendulum when emotionally flooded — you'll get noise.

Ask clear binary questions — "Is it in my best interest to accept this job offer?" Not: "What should I do about my life?" Vague questions get vague answers.

Don't ask the same question repeatedly — Once you have an answer, trust it or seek clarification through a follow-up question. Looping undermines the signal.
What Not to Ask
Avoid questions about health diagnoses, death dates, or decisions that should involve professional advice. Pendulums excel at personal alignment questions — not medical or legal matters.
